HDR Waterlilly

This is one of my favorite images.  The waterlilly from the Reflection pond at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami, FL.

A little HDR effect was added to bring out the detail.

Balloons fill the NM skies

The skies fill with balloons at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in NM.  Every year they have 500+ balloons filling the skies.   Everywhere you looked, there were balloons just waiting to be photographed.

I have been there several years, never get tired of it.  It is so colorful and peaceful.  I even flew 2x.  I’ll be posting some of those shots soon.

About Me

I started life at a young age.

I have always been a visual person.  I remember things better based on how I saw them.  I guess it’s not surprising that I would have a career in something visual. I have been a photographer for 30 years.   The highlights are many, but the key ones dearest to me, are:

  • Served in The United States NAVY as a photographer for 5 years. (PH2, E-5)
  • I was 1 of 10 chosen military photographers to photograph President George H. Bush’s Inauguration.  These images would become part of the National Archives.
  • Photographed the Summit at the White House between President George Bush and President Mikhail Gorbachev of the Soviet Union.

Over the years, I worked in different areas of the photo field.  I photographed weddings, models, landscapes, concerts, sports, and tabletop. I have won many awards, both local and National, and have been published in magazines and newspapers.

Now, as I get older, I enjoy photographing nature, landscapes and travel more.  I currently work as a Senior Photographer for a national retailer.  I photograph the items that appear in their catalogs and ads and on their websites. www.tigerdirect.com, www.compusa.com and www.circuitcity.com .

This year there will be a lot of travel shooting.  Many trips have already been planned.  I’ll be traveling with my beautiful wife, Angela.  As we travel the US, I’ll be posting images here for all to see. Giving everyone the chance to see what beauty the world has to offer.
