HULK: Smash Puny Humans…

Recently, I was out in my garden taking some macro shots of some plants, when I had a visitor.

From out of the bushes came the green monster, the HULK.  He was huge. Look how he towers over the mushrooms.  And he was fast.  I only got off this one image and then he was gone.

Before he jumped away, I heard him mumble, “Ragnarok”.  I Googled this and I see this is where his friend, Thor, lives.  He must be heading his way.

I look forward to the next encounter with the green beast in my backyard garden.

Until then…

Fairy Tale Bee

I took this image a few months ago. Yesterday I was playing around and came up with this new “fairy tale” look.
What do you think?

Monday Spider

Another Monday, another macro of a spider.
I found this one hanging from the outside roof.  Big and hairy. Ugh!
This is one of the first images I took with my new camera, Sony NEX 6.

HDR Kitty

Happy cat Saturday
Here is a shot of my kitty.
She was sleeping and I got down on the floor in front of her.
She woke up and just stared at me.
I added HDR effect by using the brush in OnOne Photo Suite 7.

Macro of Spider

Here is alittle spider… OK, not so little.

It was about 2″ long!  I just kept thinking,
“please don’t bite me”

Fine Art BW Orchid

Happy Friday.

Here is a simple BW of a beautiful orchid.
I used Nik software to convert from color to black and white.
I like the texture on the pedals.  Very detailed.

SUPER Mario Mushroom

I found this red mushroom in our backyard last night.  Thought it was really cool.  BUT, not cool enough.  I thought it needed something.  Maybe some Super Mario friends.  Which do you like better?  The original or the “friends” version. I used Nik Color Efex to give it a sunlight look.  Then I used OnOne Suite 7.5 to add detail in the muchroom top.

Do I need to say it?  OK, Crap it’s Monday.
Here’s something from the backyard from this weekend.
This was shot with the new Canon EOS M.

Here is a macro shot of a spider with his/her meal all wrapped up and waiting.

Hmmm, food in a web.
