Well it’s day 5 of 5 in the Black and White challenge. Thanks to my friend Jerry Ireland for including me in this. This is one of our orchids. We, Angela Aristizabal-Myeress and I, have about 8 plants. Most bloom several times a year.
Do I need to say it? OK, Crap it’s Monday. Here’s something from the backyard from this weekend. This was shot with the new Canon EOS M.
I was playing with this sunflower, I wanted to do something different. SO, I changed the pedals to light purple and dropped the color out of the background. Do you like it?
I shot these flowers and then used soft focus filter to lessen the depth of field. I like the softness of the image. Do you?
I added the HDR effect to this colored sunflower to add detail and grain. I think it is different than the normal yellow sunflower.
Not sure the name of this plant, but I saw it while I was hiking in the Everglades in South Florida. I shot this in color and converted to BW in Silver Efex Pro. I like the way your eye follows the leaves around the circle like a clock. What do you think?
