Orchids in Black and White

Well it’s day 5 of 5 in the Black and White challenge.
Thanks to my friend Jerry Ireland for including me in this.
This is one of our orchids.  We, Angela Aristizabal-Myeress and I,
have about 8 plants.  Most bloom several times a year.

Macro of Mushroom

Do I need to say it?  OK, Crap it’s Monday.
Here’s something from the backyard from this weekend.
This was shot with the new Canon EOS M.

Purple Sunflower

I was playing with this sunflower, I wanted to do something different.  SO, I changed the pedals to light purple and dropped the color out of the background.  Do you like it?

Soft Focus

I shot these flowers and then used soft focus filter to lessen the depth of field.

I like the softness of the image.  Do you?

HDR- Colored Sunflower

I added the HDR effect to this colored sunflower to add detail and grain. I think it is different than the normal yellow sunflower.

BW Fan Plant

Not sure the name of this plant, but I saw it while I was hiking in the Everglades in South Florida.

I shot this in color and converted to BW in Silver Efex Pro.  I like the way your eye follows the leaves around the circle like a clock.

What do you think?

HDR- Berries

Hungry?  Hungry for some HDR berries?

I don’t really know what kind of berries these are.  (I forgot to read the label under the bush).  But I liked the color and texture they had.

I then did a 3 exposure, 2 shot, HDR process to the image.
