Orchids in Black and White

Well it’s day 5 of 5 in the Black and White challenge.
Thanks to my friend Jerry Ireland for including me in this.
This is one of our orchids.  We, Angela Aristizabal-Myeress and I,
have about 8 plants.  Most bloom several times a year.

Barn on Pond in BW

Guess what day it is?
Yup, day 4 of 5 of my Black and White challenge.
This is not far our house.  Just a nice barn on a small pond.
Makes me think of the holidays.

Day 3 of 5

This is for day 3 of my 5 day Black and White challenge.

This was taken at sunrise at Matheson Hammock Park
in Miami at low tide.

Beautiful morning at beautiful location.

Black and White Challenge

Beginning today and then for the next 4 days I will be posting a black and white image.  It is part of a challenge my photog friends gave me.

This is image from Yosemite National Park.

Fine Art BW Orchid

Happy Friday.

Here is a simple BW of a beautiful orchid.
I used Nik software to convert from color to black and white.
I like the texture on the pedals.  Very detailed.

Honeymoon revisited

UGH, it’s Monday.
We took a trip last weekend to Helen, GA.  This was our honeymoon cabin.  I used Nik Color Efex Pro 4 to give it a vintage feel.

Vintage Chrysler Dashboard BW

Ugh, it’s only Tuesday.
Here is a recent HDR image I did of an old Chrysler. I love shooting old rusted cars.  They have so much texture and mood. I used Nik HDR Efex Pro 2 software for the post processing.

Yosemite Falls in BW

Here is a shot I took a few years ago. Recently, I converted it to black and white.

I think it turned out good.  What do you think?

BW Fan Plant

Not sure the name of this plant, but I saw it while I was hiking in the Everglades in South Florida.

I shot this in color and converted to BW in Silver Efex Pro.  I like the way your eye follows the leaves around the circle like a clock.

What do you think?

Vintage Train

This is the train that goes from Durango to Silverton, Colorado.

I added HDR effect, converted to black and white, and gave it a boarder to give it that “old” feel.  What do you think?
