I’ve had many people ask me, “What is HDR?” So I thought I would show an example of one of my finished images. I used 3 exposures, a normal exposure, an exposure underexposed by 2 stops, and an exposure overexposed by 2 stops. Then by using software, I like Photomatix, the images are merged into one….
After an over-night storm, I shot this pier near Sunny Isle, FL. I used Nik Efex Pro filter to add toning and cold effect.
I noticed how the sunrises right behind the TigerDirect logo. I thought it would make an interesting HDR image. What do you think? 3 shots taken at -2,0,+2.
Here is a sunrise image taken from North Miami, FL. HDR effect was added to give detail and a heavy grain look.
I shot a long exposure of this beach sunrise, (Miami Beach), and then added some toning. I think it added some needed mood to the image. What do you think?
This was a sunrise shot taken on a cloudy morning in Athens, GA. This a 3 exposure, 2 stop HDR image. The exposures were long, 3-10 seconds, in order to blur the car headlights.
