Here’s something for Macro Monday. This is a macro shot of a large spider. How large? About 3″s large. I know, only a guy can think 3″s is large, lol.
Here is another of the HDRs that I did of the new building construction. This is where HDR really shines. The walls were so dark and the window light was very strong. I was able to balance and even give the metal a “metal” look.
I wanted to share the uncropped version of yesterday’s pic. I cropped my shadow out. I thought it took away from the doorway. What do you think? Cropped? Uncropped? OR even cropped as a square without my shadow?
I was photographing a new school/church being built yesterday. There were a lot of great angle and textures. I really like this doorway. I added HDR effect to bring out detail in the brinks. It also added a glow down the hallway around the ceiling lights. Nice. 3 exposures, -2, 0, +2 stops.
Not sure the name of this plant, but I saw it while I was hiking in the Everglades in South Florida. I shot this in color and converted to BW in Silver Efex Pro. I like the way your eye follows the leaves around the circle like a clock. What do you think?
This is the Purple People Eater Balloon flying high at the annual Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in NM. Hard not to smile when you see this.
Down at the local movie theater in Key West, FL., Marilyn stands over a heating grate having your dress blown up. She does this all the time. Why? She is a statue. I did a 3 exposure, 2 stop, HDR effect of this image. The effect was to add detail and texture.
I woke early this morning to shoot the sunrise. It was cold and foggy. This is a view from our yard looking towards Athens, GA. Nothing was done to the image. No Photoshop. Just cropped.

I have shot a lot of sunrises on the beach, but this is one of my favorites. I love the way the sunlight shines across the water. Very calming.
